Agenda Item 4b – Long term plans for replacement of shelter houses at Boulder, Sunset and Shady Beach
Friends of Lake Panorama approached LPA management regarding potential projects on which they could begin fundraising. Management expressed a preference for Friends to fund items that are in need of upgrade or replacement, but which LPA is unlikely to have funding for in the near term. (LPA clarified core infrastructure items should remain an LPA responsibility.)
One item discussed was upgraded shelter houses at the three beaches. The board reviewed pros and cons to this project, noting the proposed shelters have a substantially higher cost than expected. The board encouraged staff and Friends to explore options, but also to consider investments in the LPN conference center, which is a higher-traffic facility. The board emphasized their gratitude to Friends of Lake Panorama for their service to LPA and their many accomplishments.
Agenda Item 4c – Appointment of LPN Board of Managers
Two positions are up for appointment on the LPN Board of Managers. Galen Redshaw has completed the one remaining year of an unexpired term, to which he was appointed in 2024. Greg Steffen has completed two full terms.
