The Panorama West Golf Course has been a busy place this summer for league and regular play, special events and hole-in-ones. Here are the five latest aces.

On July 12, Kalab Ziller had a hole-in-one on the first hole using his six iron. He was playing with his cousin, Chad Ziller, who witnessed the achievement. Kalab was visiting Lake Panorama from Cheyenne, Wyoming.

On Aug. 5, Austin Block got a hole-in-one on the fourth hole. The feat was witnessed by Virgil Hoehne and Dick Sheets.

Two days later, on Aug. 7, Carson Lane used a nine iron to score an ace on the seventh hole. He was playing with his father, Jerry Lane, who witnessed the hole-in-one. Carson was visiting Lake Panorama from his home in Belmond.

During Thursday morning men’s league play Aug. 22, Steve Baumhover nailed his first hole-in-one on the first hole, after playing golf for more than 40 years. Witnesses were Bill Mains, who has never seen a hole-in-one before, and Steve Brannan, who makes the wooden plaque awards for these achievements.

On Aug. 24, Jay Ganske got his first ever hole-in-one on Hole No. 8. His witnesses were his wife, Amy, and his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Robert Carr.

Each year, individuals who achieve a hole-in-one at Panorama West have their names added to a sign in the pro shop and receive a handmade plaque in recognition of their achievement.
