The Panorama West women’s golf league hosted a two-gal best-shot tournament on June 9 with 36 teams participating. The tournament theme was “Hole-In-One.”

Nine potted plants decorated the lunch tables for the Panorama West 2-gal tournament June 9. The tournament theme was “Hole-In-One” and was illustrated by an image of a man’s foot wearing a sock with holes in it.

The morning tournament was followed by lunch in the Panorama West Clubhouse, catered by The Captain’s Pick.

Cash prizes were awarded to the top four teams in five flights. Winners of the championship flight were Peg Carr of Lake Panorama and her daughter, Mallory Asbe of Grimes, with a score of one-over-par 28.

Second place went to Emily Spradling and Karen Eby, who also had a 28 but lost in a card-off. Carla Fitzgerald and Susan Thompson placed third with a score of 29. Sue Sherlock and Carol Durbin of Jefferson took fourth place in the championship flight with a 30.

Special event winners were Kathy Feilmeyer, longest putt on No. 4; Carol Durbin, closest to the pin on No. 7; and Kelly Koenigsberg, longest drive on No. 9. They each received a $25 gift card donated by the Captain’s Pick at Lake Panorama National Resort.

Each golfer received a pair of golf socks featuring a golf ball and the phrase, “My spare pair in case I get a hole in one.”

The names of all 72 players were included in a door prize drawing. One player won a gift bag donated by Maureen Lubeck. Nine players received potted plants that were used to decorate the lunch tables.
