The Lake Panorama Association has owned the Lake Panorama National (LPN) golf course since 1977. The association purchased the LPN conference center in 2005. At the same time, the LPA board established the legal corporate entity known as LPN, LLC to manage this wholly owned subsidiary.
As a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization, LPA is required to pay taxes only on gains from land sales. Revenues from dues and assessments are not taxable. Keeping the LPA and LPN, LLC operations separate protects the nonprofit status of the LPA.
The LPN, LLC board held its first meeting in October 2015. The seven-member board oversees LPN policies and direction. The LPA board provides oversight of the LPN, LLC.
At the LPA board’s Nov. 26 meeting, one new person was appointed and one current member reappointed to the LPN board of managers. Board terms are three years, and members can serve two consecutive terms.
Greg Steffen had served his two-term limit, and Tim Rickert was appointed to fill that position. Galen Redshaw was reappointed to a three-year term.
Others on the seven-member board are Kathy DeLucca, Chris Duree, Paula Hansen, Barry Monaghan and Shanell Wagler. Wagler currently serves as president with Monaghan as vice president and DeLucca as secretary/treasurer. Officer appointments for 2025 will take place at the board’s March meeting.
