Results of a vote by Lake Panorama Association (LPA) members regarding proposed changes to the LPA Bylaws were announced at a special membership meeting Oct. 15. The ballot measure passed with 450 “yes” votes to approve the changes, and 81 “no” votes.

A two-thirds majority of those voting was needed for passage. The result was 85% in favor, with 15% opposed, well over the required threshold.

Following the meeting, John Rutledge, LPA general manager, expressed his appreciation to LPA members.

“I am grateful for the confidence the LPA membership has expressed in our board and our leadership team. This level of engagement and support is what makes Lake Panorama a special community,” he said.

The last membership vote that led to changes in the LPA Bylaws was 15 years ago.

“Although most have aged well, there were some sections where updates were needed,” Rutledge said. “In many cases, the changes simply bring the bylaws up to date with how the LPA currently operates.”

The only business conducted at the Oct. 15 meeting was the final tabulation of returned ballots, and announcement of the results. Ballot counters were Kathy DeLucca, Pam Johnson, Lance Levis and Deanie Thomas.

The bylaws changes became effective immediately after the vote totals were announced. The newly updated bylaws are on the LPA website, lakepanorama.org, under the “Governing Documents” tab.
