This month Trish Hart offers photos of spring blooms that continue into summer.
Three white crabapple trees are located along Sage Trail by the Burchfield Cove bridge, which Hart describes as being “absolutely beautiful this spring.” Crabapples are native to North America and Asia, generally grow 15-20 feet tall and live 40-60 years.
Pink Bleeding Heart is a perennial plant. Hart’s husband, Scott, bought two of these from Panorama Gardens for Mother’s Day this year.
The Harts have two varieties of purple iris in their yard. The larger variety smells like grape candy or Kool-Aid. The smaller is a dwarf variety. In floriography, which is the language of flowers, the iris carries meanings of faith, courage, hope and wisdom.
Hart specializes in nature photography. She offers prints of her photos on canvas, paper, metal and glass. Learn more by visiting Nature’s Canvas Photography on Facebook.
